A few observations:
1. He is around 40 years old.
2. He was with his wife and 3 kids.
3. Simply dressed.
4. Either looking out of the window or looking at his kids
5. No communication between him and his wife
6. Always smiling to himself

You make some interesting assertions here, and I appreciate your effort. It’s a bit of a stretch to suggest that because they have three kids, communication has broken down between the husband and the wife. Maybe they simply had nothing to say for those 10 minutes. Whichever is the truth, your version helps to build a more interesting character.

It doesn’t really meet two minutes of introspection though. Also, because you chose a character who does so little, it doesn’t give you much to work with. Perhaps you didn’t choose the best subject possible to complete the assignment.
